Our Kindergarten offers early childhood education with a difference. The special character of our Kindergarten features:

 

  • small group size, ratio 1:10, with 100% qualified Early Childhood Teachers, 

  • a calm, quiet, home-like environment

  • a programme and natural resources that develop children's imaginative play eg. wooden toys, cloth dolls, painting, hand-sewing, knitting etc.

  • healthy, nutritious plant-based lunches and snacks provided free

  • connecting children with nature through composting, planting, harvesting veges and marking seasonal changes

  • celebrations and seasonal festivals

  • lots of outside play - sandpit, riverbed, climbing trees, waterfall, real grass, mud and hills!

  • Forest Fridays - outside all day and morning tea cooked on the outdoor fire!

  • we are an Enviro-School!

 

 

Sessions run from 8.45am to 2:45pm Monday to Friday.

 

We are at 187 Ruahine Street, Palmerston North (beside Terrace End School). 

 

20 FREE ECE hours per week available for children three to six years old.

 

A Playgroup (run by a playgroup co-ordinator) for children 0-3 years and their whanau, is held every Tuesday (during term time) from 9:30-midday in the Puawai Room at Kindergarten-Nau Mai, Haere mai, all welcome!
